This Day is mine to use, dear Lord,
Each moment is sublime;
I thank You for this precious gift,
This sacred part of time.
I thank You for awaking me
To see this brand new day,
And for the privilege I have
To use it as I may.
I thank You for the good I’ll do
Because You guide me, Lord,
And for the peace of mind I’ll have
By trusting in Your word.
I thank You for the friends I’ll meet
And for the love I’ll share;
I thank you for the chance to show
Some sinner that You care.
I thank You for the vict’ries that
I’ll gain for You today,
And for the firm assurance that
You’re with me all the way.
Again I thank You for this gift
In sacred trust to me;
And may each precious hour be used
To praise and honour Thee.
